We have different categories of membership which follow the cycle of education and qualification of mediators. Please begin your applications below:
Member
You have successfully completed an MII
Accredited training course and skills assessment. Price €180.
Advanced Member
Advanced Members of the MII are experienced Mediators who have successfully completed an MII advanced assessment. To become an advanced member contact info@themii.ie for more information. Price €210.
Trainee Affiliate
A participant on, or a person who successfully completes, an MII approved training programme is eligible for membership of The MII as a Trainee Affiliate. Price €25.
General Affiliate
Any person with an interest in mediation may apply for General Affiliate status of the MII. Price €130.
Community Mediation Service Provider
Mediators who work solely on a volunteer basis with a registered MII Communtiy Mediation. Price €85.
Organisation Affiliate
The Organisation Member category is for organisations that are interested in mediation. Price €230.
Membership Fees
Registration fees are applicable on an annual calendar year basis (January-to-January) and should be submitted to the MII when making an online application for membership. If you have difficulty making an online payment please contact info@themii.ie to make alternative arrangements.
New Member / Recategorisation Administration Fee
In addition to the appropriate registration fee, there is an administration fee of €50 applicable to new members when appyling for MII membership. The €50 administration fee also applies to each MII member when progressing from one category of membership to another in addition to the balance for membership registration.

Note: Where a new member registers with the MII after 1 July in a given year they will be liable to pay the €50 administration fee and 50% of the applicable annual registration fee. For example: New Member joining after 1st July – admin fee of €50 plus €90 (50% of the annual fee of €180) Total of €140.

Assessment Fees
- Member Assessment: € 375
- Advanced Member Assessment: € 275
- Assessment of Equivalent Training membership application €100 for the application which is allowed against the annual membership fee if your application is successful. It is a non-refundable fee if your application is not successful.
